Venus and Serena Buy a Part of a Team
They might spend most of their time on the tennis courts, but Venus and Serena Williams are avid football fans. So much so that they purchased a small ownership in the Miami Dolphins. The deal, which was announced this week, makes Venus and Serena the first female African Americans to have an ownership stake in an NFL team.

Celebrity News: Judge Puts the HAMMER down on Chris Brown!
A judge on Tuesday sentenced Chris Brown to five years' probation and six months' community labor for the beating of Rihanna and ordered the R&B singer to stay away from his former girlfriend for the next five years.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg told Brown that he could be sent to state prison if he violated any terms of his sentence, including an order to stay 100 yards away from Rihanna unless they're attending music industry events.
A probation report prepared for Tuesday's sentencing describes two previous violent incidents. It said the first happened about three months before the February beating while the couple was traveling in Europe; Rihanna slapped Brown during an argument, and he shoved her into a wall. In the second instance, Brown allegedly broke the front and passenger side windows on a Range Rover they were driving while visiting Barbados, Rihanna's home country. Neither attack was reported, the probation report states.

Member of the Diplomats and Leader of the Skull Gang, rapper Juelz Santana was arrested today for domestic abuse. According to reports, Santana allegedly threatened to kill his wife.
Reports show that a 911 call was placed by his wife early this morning during an altercation between the two in their home in Teaneck, New Jersey. Whatever was said in the phone call clearly did the trick as the rapper was arrested on domestic battery charges, although she was not in need of any

An employee of 50 Cent's G-Unit empire is due in court today for his second assault charge in three months. 27-year old Dwayne Mckenzie is facing criminal charges for attacking an unidentified woman and holding her down so another woman could beat her.
The incident happened August 16 at 50's 50,000 square foot mansion in Connecticut. According to the unidentified woman, he asked her for oral sex. Singer Usher Raymond is officially back to being a bachelor.
BV Buzz has learned exclusively that the 30-year-old singer's divorce from his wife Tameka Foster has been finalized and an agreement was reached in pre-court settlement.
The camps aren't talking now – likely preparing to give an exclusive to a media outlet like People magazine – but I hear an official announcement should drop soon.
A rep for the singer did not answer a detailed request for comment.
Foster's publicist refuses to issue statements to BV Buzz anymore.
"In the future please don't bother us again for direct quotes or responses from Tameka," a one-named flack named Melody e-mailed last week.
Usher is currently in Paris, France celebrating the end to the two-year marriage.

Melo filed a $2 million lawsuit against his former business manager, Larry W. Harmon and his firm, Larry Harmon & Associates P.A. The suit alleges that Harmon breached their contract by transferring $1.75 million of Anthony's money without his knowledge or consent to a company formed by Harmon, most of it in 2008, according to the Associated Press. There was another $265,000 invested in companies that Melo had no knowledge of or given consent to.

Black News: Michael’s Doctor Had Major Financial Problems

Hmmm...maybe that's why Dr. Conrad Murray is being so cooperative with the Los Angeles Police Department. And the Las Vegas Police Department. And the Clark County Sheriff's Department. And the Drug Enforcement Administration.
It seems it's not the good doctor's first time at the rodeo.
A check of Michael Jackson's physician's legal past has revealed everything from domestic violence charges (of which he was acquitted) to financial woes (which at one point included a bankruptcy filing) to his latest headache (you know, other than that whole target-of-a-manslaughter-investigation thing), the possibility that his Las Vegas home could soon be foreclosed upon.
Let's hope the feds treaded lightly during yesterday's search. Depreciation can be a real bitch.
Documents filed July 23 with the Clark County Recorder reveal that Murray could face foreclosure on his gated country club estate as soon as November. Though the timing on the filing may seem a bit like kicking Murray when he's down, Jackson's doctor reportedly fell more than $100,000 into debt on the home, with his last payment, of $15,000, being made in January of this year. (Which may be why Murray was so keen to stay in Jackson's good graces and keep the $150,000-a-month salary that came with it.)

Singer Michael Jackson had lethal levels of the drug propofol in his blood when he died, according to court documents.
A search warrant filed in court showed toxicology reports found propofol in Michael Jackson's body.
Los Angeles' coroner Dr. Lakshmanan Sathyavagiswaran reached that preliminary conclusion after reviewing toxicology results carried out on Jackson's blood, according to an affidavit.
The drug Diprivan, known by its generic name propofol, is administered intravenously in operating rooms as a general anesthetic, the manufacturer AstraZeneca told CNN.
A source close to the investigation told CNN that Dr. Conrad Murray is believed to have administered the drug to Jackson within 24 hours of his death on June 25.
Investigators have searched Murray's home and clinics for evidence related to the anesthetic propofol, according to documents filed in court.
The drug works as a depressant on the central nervous system.
"It works on your brain," said Dr. Zeev Kain, the chair of the anesthesiology department at the University of California --Irvine. "It basically puts the entire brain to sleep."

PEPA DIDN’T WANT WILL
Apparently before he met Jada, actor Will Smith was trying to HOLLA HARD at Pepa from Salt and Pepa. And, according to her – dude was TRICKIN ON HER too!!!

OMARION AND LIL WAYNE MINOR BEEF IS OVER
R&B singer Omarion has hit back at suggestions he was dropped from Lil Wayne's record label imprint after leaking his collaboration with the rapper.
The former B2K singer signed to Lil Wayne's Young Money roster earlier this summer and even made an appearance on the Young Money Presents America's Most Wanted Music Festival roadshow last week.
On Wednesday, the Ice Box hitmaker's unreleased duet with Lil Wayne, entitled I Get It In, surfaced on the internet - and that same day Young Money rapper Mack Maine confirmed on his Twitter.com page that Omarion had been booted from the Young Money crew.
Maine also clarified that the track was an unauthorised leak, prompting gossips to speculate Omarion had been axed for secretly distributing the song online.
But Omarion insists he actually requested to be let out of his contract.

EX GIANT HEADS TO JAIL
NEW YORK(AP)—Former New York Giant Plaxico Burress(notes) pleaded guilty Thursday to a weapons charge and agreed to a two-year prison term for accidentally shooting himself at a Manhattan nightclub.
The ex-wide receiver pleaded guilty to one count of attempted criminal possession of a weapon, a lesser charge than he initially faced. Under a plea agreement, he agreed to a two-year prison sentence and two years of supervised release.
Burress was indicted earlier this month on two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and one count of reckless endangerment. He faced a minimum sentence of 3 1/2 years if convicted at a trial.
