According to music agent Will Bogle, via the Associated Press, Rev. Timothy Wright passed away on Thursday. He was 61. Known as a great contributer to gospel music & a minister, Wright was the pastor at Grace Tabernacle Christian Center Church of God in Christ, located in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. His last album was "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus", released in 2007.
Wright, his wife (Betty Wright), and grandson were involved in a car accident last summer. Betty and the grandson also passed away due to the accident.
We pray for the family and friends of the Wright family.
