Monica & Shannon Brown Secretly Wed

Monica & L.A. Lakers NBA-Star, Shannon Brown, had a secret wedding on November 22nd.  The couple won't have an official wedding and reception until June. 

"It's true," Brown, 25, confirmed to http://www.hiphopnonstop.tv/ Wednesday. "That's my wife, I'm her husband, you know. We're going to continue to make positive things happen."

There's been a few secret weddings going on lately; there's definitely nothing wrong with this!!  Congrats to Monica & Shannon!  Wishing you many years of happiness!

Jurnee Smollett Weds Josiah Bell

Jurnee Smollett married Josiah Bell in a small, quiet ceremony on October 24th.  The event was very low-key.  Many of us remember Smollett from her roles in "Full House", "Eve's Bayou", and "The Great Debators".  Currently, Smollett stars in the the courtroom dramedy The Defenders with Jerry O'Connell as well as critical favorite Friday Night Lights.

According to People.com:

While Smollett describes the wedding as "beautiful, moving and personal," especially since her pastor father-in-law performed the ceremony, Smollett says putting the wedding together was almost as much fun and rewarding as the main event.

"It was such a fun process," the actress says. "We didn't hire a wedding planner. Josiah and I literally decided every detail together."

And she even averted the dreaded bridezilla role by keeping her partner close. "I didn't have the pressure of wondering whether or not the groom would like certain things," she says. "He was right there for every decision."

How has life changed for Smollett since tying the knot?

"It's incredible," she says. "My best friend is my life partner. It doesn't get any better than that."

J. Hudson & David Set Wedding Date

Jennifer Hudson has set a wedding date, however she & David ("Punk") are keeping it a secret. In an interview with American Idol host, Ryan Seacrest, J. Hud states: “Yeah, but it’s a secret. I can’t tell anybody.”, in regards to her wedding plans.

Sarah Jakes, TD Jakes' youngest daughter, married her college sweetheart, Robert Henson, in a star-studded wedding on Saturday, June 21, 2008. Everyone from Carl Thomas to Tom Joyner to Tyler Perry were in attendance. Sarah's older sister, Cora, was maid-of-honor.
